International Student Health Insurance Requirements:

1. Policy must be active on or before the start date of the specific coverage period.
2. Policy must be PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) compliant.
3. Policy provides the Essential Minimum Benefits required by the PPACA with no annual limits.
4. Policy contains no exclusions or waiting periods for pre-existing conditions.
5. Policy covers 100% of Preventative Care as defined by the PPACA.
6. U.S. government sponsored or foreign government sponsored plan (i.e. embassy plans) or U.S. employer plans that are PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) compliant.
7. Proof of repatriation expenses in the amount of no less than $25,000.
8. Proof of expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the insured to the insured’s home country of no less than $50,000.
9. All policy documentation must be in English and monetary values expressed in U.S. dollars.
